It's Snowing! Boots for your Dog

We got our first real snow here last night, so I got my whole family dressed to go out and play. Of course this includes my dog, who loves to run and play in the snow.

I like to dress my dog in a sweater and boots when she is out running in the snow. Why? Not only does it look super-cute, but there is actually a very practical reason for this too...

Our dogs paws have pads that are very sensitive. The ice and snow can be very cold for their sensitive paws. If you use salt or a de-icer to melt the snow and ice, this can cut and burn your dogs paws. The snow and ice can also get stuck between your dogs paws and freeze, causing pain while they walk.
