Help the Animals Affected by Hurricane Ike!

Hurricane Ike hit the Texas Gulf Coast 10 days ago and Texans continue to recover from the disaster. Animals impacted by Ike also are in need. The Houston Chronicle reports that many animals have been displaced as a result of the Hurricane. The Houston SPCA has set up a disaster response pet portal to help owners find their animals. They also have a wish list of items to help with the surge in animal population. In addition, the Special Pals Animal Shelter has taken in over 100 homeless pets that were evacuated from the Bay Area Pet Adoption Shelter and need donations to help the pets.
